Dalton Barracks is a military installation near Abingdon in Oxfordshire. ==History== The barracks were established, on the site of the former RAF Abingdon airbase, in 1992: they were named after James Dalton VC, a former member of the Army Commissary Corps, a predecessor of the Royal Logistic Corps. The barracks were initially occupied by 3 and 4 Close Support Regiments of the Royal Corps of Transport (now 3 and 4 Logistic Support Regiments of the Royal Logistic Corps).〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Regiments 1 to 10 )〕 Since 2006 they have also been occupied by 12 Logistic Support Regiment of the Royal Logistic Corps.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Regiments 11 to 20 )〕 The Ministry of Defence announced in March 2013 that 12 Logistic Support Regiment would be disbanded with the loss of 400 jobs on site.
